So many people spend so much of their lives wondering why they are here on earth and what all of this is for. The Good News is that you don’t have to wonder any more. God has placed us all on earth with a specific purpose. We are here to worship and glorify him through a personal relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Because of Christ, we can make a real and personal connection with the creator of the universe.
How can you make this connection with God? God’s word tells us that “if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
According to this scripture, we must put our lives into God’s hands by making Christ our Lord. Who better to help you through life than the one who knows everything and can do anything.
Why is this important? “Everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (Romans 3:23) Sin is not just when we do bad things, its when we don’t reach God’s standard. The Bible says, “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.” (Romans 6:23) No one is
perfect on his or her own, but through Christ and only Christ we can all be made perfect and receive forgiveness for our sins.
At Bay Hills, we want you to find the purpose God has for you. We want you to have a fuller and richer life. And most of all, we want you to have God’s free gift of eternal life. If you want this for yourself, please say this prayer to God.
“Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner, that I do not always reach Your standard. I want to turn away from my sins and place my life in Your hands. I want Jesus Christ to be my Lord. I believe that He died on the cross for my sins, that He was buried, and that He rose again on the third day. Please make me into the person You want me to be. In the name of Jesus, Amen.”
Congratulations on this life changing decision. All of us at Bay Hills celebrate your decision to follow Christ. Please let us know of your decision or of any questions you may have by emailing us at salvation@bayhills.net.
